Fuels Summit 2012

Commodities has participated
in the annual China Steel Raw
Materials & Fuels Summit 2012 held in Suzhou,
China from August 29 to September 1, 2012.
The SGT team is taking on an important role
with a dedicated booth as it aims to be able to
effectively network and discuss best practices
with major iron ore & steel companies in the
world.
The theme of this year’s summit is “Seeking
Business Opportunities in Crisis, Breaking
through Adversity”, covering major products
such as Iron Ore, Coal & Coke. According
to the organizers, the summit aims to provide
attendees with a deep analysis about the market
from the aspects of macro status, industry op-
eration conditions, market tendency, resources
channels, warehouse logistics, and trading pat-
terns by means of keynote speeches, top leader
talks and supply-demand fair.
The summit was attended by more than 1,000
decision makers from major mining companies,
Chinese steel mills, shipping firms, port author-
ities and financial institutes, as well as leaders in
relevant government departments and industrial
associations. The summit was organized by
UMETAL which has successfully held 12 iron
ore conferences during previous years.

s a part of its continuing commitment
to provide its customers with an ex-
ceptional standard of service, Starlight
General Trading L.L.C. has unveiled its new
website. The project was started with an aim to
give SGT’s business clients as well as partners a
more comprehensive understanding of the SGT
group. The new website highlights SGT’s four
major operational business units: Commodities,
SGT launches new group website
Health, Media and Technologies. Each of these
divisions have a dedicated space in the website
and offer visitors available information regarding
the different brands owned and managed by the
SGT Group.
Business partners, clients and associates can
be easily updated on SGT’s major activities and
initiatives by checking out the News & Events
section of the site. The site also offers an effort-
less way for visitors to contact SGT with its built
in communication forms available in the Careers
and Contact pages.
The site also showcases SGT’s new and
improved logo which represents a stronger brand
image for the group. Representing a multi-co-
loured star, the four points of the new icon
represents SGT’s four business divisions. Rodel
Rodriguez, Graphic Designer for SGT said: “We
decided to evolve the logo into this star-like
shape to embody how SGT has grown into a
much bigger organization. The chevrons facing
different directions also represent the worldwide
reach the company has today. The logo is also
designed to be flexible to allow for future com-
pany expansions that will take place.”
